James Hays Trimble worked as a Superintendent of the Government Repair Shops before the Civil War, and served in the Quartermasters Guard during the war. He remained
in Washington, DC after the war, and was a prominent member of the Masons. His obituary states that he is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, but he is actually
buried in Glenwood Cemetery (Masonic Circle plot), 2219 Lincoln Road NE Washington, D.C. N.B.: Allegheny City was an independent city between 18401907, when it was annexed by the City of Pittsburgh. It is now considered Pittsburghs North Side. |
